Information About the Cyclades Islands Beaches
Aigiali beach is the biggest beach on the island. It is sandy with pure, clean water. Itâ€™s ideal for families with small children because of the cool waters and the taverns that are near the beach.
It is one of the busiest and most popular beaches on Mykonos, after being discovered by the Hippies. On the beach are beach bars, a diving centre and a disco. There is the possibility for marine sports. Access to the beach is easy with a regular bus service. Near the beach is a hotel and a large campsite.
The beach at Karavostassis port is located in front of the settlement's houses. A family beach with shade from tamarisk trees throughout its length. There are bars, taverns and hotels near the sea. Nearby beaches: Vardia, by the port, with easy access (stone steps).
The Agios Prokopios beach is considered perhaps the best beach on the island and is among the best in Greece. It has deep-red sand and transparent crystal waters, with a length of about 1.5 kilometers It lies 3.5 km from Chora and is located in the southwest part of the island.
The sandy beach of Chrissi Akti is one of the most beautiful on the island and the largest beach of Paros. The conditions are ideal for sea activities. It is organised and has been awarded with the European Blue Flag.
Kamari is a seaside resort 10 km from Fyra. It is the largest beach of the Cyclades islands and extends over 5 km. A variety of sea sport activities are available.
