The nearest port is Lavrio, about 25 minutes away by road. It has ferries to Kea and Kythnos and some routes to the Cyclades and the North Aegean. Rafina, to the north, has frequent boats to Andros, Tinos, Mykonos, Paros and Naxos.

Recommended. KTEL and local buses link Anavyssos with Athens and nearby towns, but services are slow and infrequent. A car makes it easy to reach the airport, the beaches, Cape Sounion and the wineries of the Mesogeia plain.
