Rhodes International Airport (Diagoras), on the west coast near Paradisi, has many direct flights from Europe in summer and flights from Athens all year. Afandou is about 30 minutes away by taxi or transfer.

The nearest port is Rhodes Town, about 25 minutes away by road. It is the main hub of the Dodecanese, with ferries and catamarans to Symi, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Karpathos and Piraeus, and boats to Marmaris and Fethiye in Turkey.

Getting around

Useful but not essential. Buses link Afandou with Rhodes Town and the east-coast resorts, but services are less frequent, and the village is a little away from the beach. A car makes it easy to reach the beaches, Lindos and the inland villages.
