No. GreekHotels.gr is committed to 100% price transparency.

The room rate displayed during the booking process is the total accommodation cost for your selected stay and includes VAT. We do not add any hidden booking fees or surprise charges at checkout.

In Greece, an environmental fee is payable directly to the hotel upon arrival. This fee is displayed separately below the room price because it is collected by the accommodation provider rather than through the booking process. The amount shown is the final environmental fee applicable to your booking for the entire stay. Some hotels may offer optional services such as extra beds, airport transfers, parking, spa treatments, or other amenities at an additional cost. Where available, information about these services can be found in the "Useful Info" section of the hotel page. We strongly recommend reviewing this section if you require any additional services during your stay.

The information displayed in the "Useful Info" section is provided directly by the hotel. GreekHotels.gr does not modify or alter this information in any way. Requests for optional services should be arranged directly with the hotel after booking and, unless otherwise stated, any related charges are payable directly to the accommodation provider.

All online payments are processed securely through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment platforms, trusted by millions of businesses and customers worldwide.

Your payment information is encrypted and transmitted using industry-standard security technology to help protect your personal and financial data. GreekHotels.gr does not store your full credit card details on its servers.

Once your payment has been successfully completed, you will receive an instant booking confirmation by email containing your reservation number and all relevant booking details.

The timing of the charge depends on the payment option selected for your booking.

If you choose a Pay Now rate, your card will be charged during the final step of the online booking process when your reservation is confirmed. Once the payment is successfully completed, you will receive an immediate booking confirmation by email.

If you choose a Pay Later rate, your card will not be charged during the booking process. In most cases, you will still be required to provide a valid credit card as a guarantee to secure the reservation, but no payment will be collected at the time of booking.

For Pay Later bookings, the hotel will usually charge your card either upon arrival, during your stay, or after the free cancellation period has expired, depending on the hotel's payment and cancellation policies. The exact terms applicable to your booking are clearly displayed during the booking process and are also included in your confirmation email.
Yes. All prices displayed on GreekHotels.gr include VAT (Value Added Tax).

For full transparency, the VAT amount applicable to your booking is clearly displayed in the booking summary before payment and is also included in your booking confirmation email.

Please note that the environment fee required by Greek legislation is not included in the room rate, as it is collected directly by the hotel upon arrival. This fee is displayed separately during the booking process so that you can see the total amount payable before completing your reservation.
The Environment Fee is a mandatory charge imposed by the Greek State on tourist accommodation and is payable directly to the hotel upon the guest's arrival or departure.

This fee is not included in the room rate, as it is collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the government. For full transparency, the amount of the Environment Fee is displayed separately during the booking process so that you are aware of the total cost of your stay in advance.

The amount of the fee is determined by Greek legislation and varies depending on the category of the accommodation and the duration of stay.
If your booking is eligible for a refund according to the applicable cancellation policy, the refund will be processed automatically to the original payment method (credit or debit card) used when the booking was made.

Once the cancellation has been confirmed, the refund process begins immediately. The time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, but refunds are typically completed within a few working days.

For bookings made using a Pay Now rate, any eligible refund will be returned to the card used for payment. For bookings made using a Pay Later rate, no refund is required if no payment has been collected at the time of cancellation.

The refund amount, if any, is determined by the cancellation policy that applies to your booking. The applicable cancellation terms are clearly displayed during the booking process and are included in your confirmation email.

Once a cancellation has been confirmed and any applicable refund has been approved, the refund process begins immediately.

In most cases, refunds are completed within a few working days. However, the exact time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider and may vary from one institution to another.

Refunds are always returned to the same payment method used when the booking was made.

If you have not received your refund within a reasonable period of time, please contact our support team at contact@greekhotels.gr and we will be happy to assist you.
If your payment cannot be processed, your booking will not be completed and no reservation will be confirmed.

Payment failures can occur for a number of reasons, including insufficient funds, incorrect card details, expired cards, online payment restrictions, or security checks performed by your bank or card issuer.

If a payment fails, we recommend checking your card details carefully and trying again. You may also wish to contact your bank or card provider to ensure that online transactions are enabled and that no restrictions have been placed on your card.

In some cases, using a different payment card may help resolve the issue.
